Committed to providing children the proper communication and interpersonal skills, our Speech Therapy Department employs scientifically proven approaches to help patients better present themselves. Developed by our Speech Therapy experts, we have plotted four key intervention points that is guaranteed to provide children the best outcome – depending on their current condition, frequency, and patient & therapy consistency. These four key intervention points are:
    1. Improving receptive comprehension through the improvement of the following abilities:
      • Following directions;
      • understanding questions;
      • identifying vocabulary words & concepts;
      • listening skills;
      • making inferences;
      • interactive thinking skills.
    2. Improving expressive comprehension through the improvement of the following abilities:
      • Naming vocabulary words & concepts;
      • Expressing wants and needs;
      • Answering questions;
      • Use of practical social communications;
      • Self-expression.
    3. Improving coordination of speech muscles through:
      • Strengthening exercises consisting of pushing the tongue against a tongue depressor;
      • Training exercises with sound repetition and imitation.
    4. Improving fluency through:
      • Speech modification strategies, such as: easy onset, rate control, continuous phonation, prolonged syllables, and light articulatory contact.
      • Breathing exercises.
